Patna, March 21 (NationPress) In light of the uproar surrounding the National Anthem controversy, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Rabri Devi confronted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday, suggesting that if he is not mentally stable, he ought to step down and 'appoint Nishant Kumar as the CM.'
Rabri Devi accused CM Nitish of showing disrespect towards the national anthem, asserting, 'This is an insult to our entire nation. If he is not in the right mental state, he should resign and make his son Nishant Kumar the CM.'
Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, stated, 'The safety of the people of Bihar is jeopardized under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. The future of 14 crore Biharis hangs in the balance.'
The opposition has called for significant protests throughout the state regarding this matter.
They plan to burn effigies of CM Nitish on Saturday, followed by a march to Raj Bhavan if he fails to apologize in the House.
On the other hand, ruling party leaders have dismissed the opposition's allegations.

Ashok Choudhary, the Rural Works Department Minister, retaliated against the opposition, claiming they are making these statements out of desperation.
'Following CM Nitish's Pragati Yatra, the opposition is frustrated and desperate. Nitish Kumar has ruled for 20 years, and his honesty or governance has never been questioned,' Minister Choudhary declared.
He refuted the opposition's assertion that CM Nitish disrespected the National Anthem, stating, 'Some incidents occur unintentionally. The opposition is intentionally distorting this to mislead the public.'
He further criticized Tejashwi and the RJD, remarking, 'Those whose entire family is embroiled in corruption are now challenging Nitish Kumar's integrity.'
