New Delhi, April 11 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday raised three critical questions directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the country's troubling job situation. He accused the government of neglecting the Rs 10,000 crore 'Employment Linked Incentive' (ELI) scheme, which was launched with great enthusiasm a year ago.

Rahul pointed out that the Centre is prioritizing and supporting large corporations while undervaluing MSMEs, which are vital to the nation's economy.

In response, the BJP swiftly dismissed the allegations made by the Congress MP regarding the ELI scheme and the government's approach to tackling unemployment.

The head of the BJP IT cell, Amit Malviya, took to X to share a comprehensive list detailing job creation and the bolstering of the agricultural and services sectors under Modi's administration.

He presented several hard facts to effectively counter the claims and to educate Rahul on how the economy suffered during the UPA era and thrived under the BJP-led NDA.

Malviya strongly criticized Rahul's assertion about the abandonment of the ELI scheme, labeling it a 'calculated strategy to distort reality'.

He stated, "Either Rahul Gandhi's team has completely failed to inform him about the facts, or—more likely—he's manipulating his well-known ignorance to mislead India's youth. This isn’t just a mistake; it's a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, using his platform to propagate misinformation disguised as naivety," he expressed in a post on X.

Rahul, intensifying his attack on the government, claimed, "It has been almost a year since the announcement of the scheme, yet the government hasn't even defined it and returned the Rs 10,000 crore allocated to it. This reflects the seriousness of the PM regarding unemployment."

In reply, Malviya highlighted that the PM Internship Scheme for FY 2024–25 has already been launched. Over 1.25 lakh candidates have secured internships, with 327 companies offering internships to 1.18 lakh youth across various districts, and 3.9 lakh youth applications have been received to date.

"While the Modi government executes on-ground programs and achieves measurable outcomes, your legacy consists of empty slogans and unfulfilled promises—the very 'jumlas' you accuse others of," Malviya remarked.

Addressing Rahul's allegations regarding NDA's preference for 'crony capitalism', Malviya sought to reflect on the Congress leader's own party's history, which was marred by scandals, corruption, and policy inaction during the UPA.

"The youth of India are observant. They recognize the difference between effective governance and a dynasty that deceives," he concluded.
