Rajasthan BJP MLA Labels Rahul Gandhi as Part of 'Mummy, Jija, and Jiji' Party

Jaipur, Jan 6 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Hawa Mahal in Rajasthan, Balmukund Acharya, expressed his disapproval of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday, labeling him a member of the 'Mummy, Jija, and Jiji's party.
He asserted that individuals like Rahul Gandhi, who are on bail, tend to visit India solely during election times for campaigning before returning to their foreign residences to unwind.
Acharya remarked that despite years of independence, such individuals still exhibit no genuine emotional bond with India, its traditions, or its populace.
He pointed out that while Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister, was a prominent figure in the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi continued his international travels even after Singh's passing, demonstrating a lack of respect during the national mourning period declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to Acharya, the sentiments and actions of Rahul Gandhi and his associates are well-known, highlighting how Congress has treated significant political figures like Deve Gowda with contempt.
Acharya also suggested that Rahul Gandhi appears to show more allegiance to foreign nations such as Italy and Rome than to India.
Additionally, the BJP MLA commended the preparations for the forthcoming Kumbh, stating it would spur economic activity worth crores of rupees, benefiting various sectors.
Businesses dealing with flowers, incense, religious items, clothing, and food distribution are expected to flourish, leading to significant market growth as money circulates through diverse channels, Acharya added.
Reports regarding Rahul Gandhi's foreign travels during the week-long mourning period following the death of India's 14th Prime Minister ignited a series of exchanges between the BJP and Congress.
The BJP accused Gandhi of prioritizing his New Year vacation over the legacy of India's 'architect of economic reforms,' the late Manmohan Singh, as multiple reports suggested that the Congress MP had traveled abroad to celebrate the New Year.
This dispute followed a period of intense political exchanges between both parties, initially over Congress’ claims of disrespect towards Singh during his cremation at Nigambodh Ghat, and subsequently the BJP’s rebuttal concerning senior Congress leaders and the Gandhis missing the ash immersion ceremonies.
The chief of the BJP’s IT cell, Amit Malviya, took to social media to criticize the Congress MP for being abroad while the country was in mourning.
Malviya stated, “While the country is mourning Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s demise, Rahul Gandhi has flown to Vietnam to ring in the New Year.”
Congress leader Manickam Tagore responded on X, asking, “If Rahul Gandhi travels privately, why does it bother you? Get well in the New Year.”
