Jaipur, Aug 4 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma performed an aerial survey on Monday to assess the devastation caused by significant rainfall and water-logging in the districts of Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, and Dholpur. He reviewed the damage and the relief operations currently underway.
During his interactions with residents, he highlighted that the administration is actively monitoring the crisis related to the rainfall, with ongoing coordination meetings involving collectors and local representatives.
CM Sharma directed officials to prioritize the restoration of essential facilities such as schools, Anganwadis, hospitals, and roads.
He also called for a swift assessment of crop damages and emphasized the urgency of reinstating basic services like electricity, roads, and communication systems.
Moreover, he mentioned that plans for long-term flood prevention infrastructure are underway, particularly for vulnerable villages along the Chambal River.
Currently, teams from Civil Defence and Disaster Relief are actively engaged in the affected regions.
In Dholpur, two teams from the SDRF have been stationed in Rajakheda, with one team each in Dholpur and Sarmathura. An NDRF team is positioned at the district headquarters, along with an Army unit deployed for rescue missions.
Over 2,700 individuals have been evacuated from villages at risk of flooding.
State ministers including Kirori Lal Meena, Gautam Kumar Dak, Jawahar Singh Bedham, and MLAs Jitendra Gothwal, Darshan Singh Gurjar, Hansraj Meena, and Jaswant Singh Gurjar accompanied the Chief Minister during this visit.

During the survey, the Chief Minister assessed conditions in heavily impacted villages such as Chakeri, Jadawata, Ajanoti, Mainpura, Dhanoli, Surwal, and Khandar (Sawai Madhopur); Kased, Kemch, Todi, Malhapura, Ranchauli, Rahughat, and Mandrayal (Karauli); and Kathumra, Mahmadpura, Buxpura, Cheelpura, Garhi Jafar, and Basai Ghiyaram (Dholpur’s Rajakheda subdivision), including Nibhi Ka Tal and Urmila Sagar Dam (Bari).
