Jaipur, Sep 13 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma revealed a significant relief initiative for those affected by the recent school roof collapse tragedy in the Manoharthana area of Jhalawar district.
Offering heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, the government also approved extensive development projects for the impacted area.
As part of the relief efforts, the Chief Minister sanctioned financial aid of Rs 13 lakh for the families of each student who tragically lost their life in the incident.
Additionally, each of the 11 seriously injured students will receive Rs 1.36 lakh, while Rs 75,400 has been allocated for each of the 10 students with minor injuries.
Moreover, the state government announced development initiatives exceeding Rs 1 crore for Piplodi village, which includes Rs 1.5 crore for rebuilding the school, Rs 11 lakh for a community hall, and Rs 24 lakh for a drinking water tank, tube well, and Khuranja road construction.
The government underscored that these actions demonstrate its dedication to both prompt assistance and sustained development in the affected area.
According to officials from the Chief Minister's Office, "In light of the tragic event in Piplodi village, the state government and local representatives have launched development projects worth Rs 1.85 crore alongside thorough relief efforts for the impacted families. This includes Rs 1.50 crore for the reconstruction of the school, Rs 11 lakh for a community building, and Rs 24 lakh for essential utilities under the Zila Parishad."
Family members of every deceased student have also been granted employment in the medical department on a contractual basis.
Beyond financial support, 11 families received free domestic gas connections, along with cattle sheds, educational materials, school bags, toys, and track suits for children, ensuring both immediate relief and long-term assistance.
Recently, seven students tragically lost their lives when a school roof collapsed in Piplodi village due to heavy rainfall.
At the time of the incident, students were present inside the classrooms.
