Jaipur, March 1 (NationPress) To advance Ayurveda and traditional healing practices in Rajasthan, the four-day State Level Arogya Mela-2025 was inaugurated on Saturday at Shilpgram, Jawahar Kala Kendra by Deputy Chief Minister and AYUSH Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, who commenced the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Bairwa emphasized that Ayurveda serves as the cornerstone of the Indian way of life, referencing Maharishi Charak’s contributions that demonstrate how this ancient system not only addresses ailments but also fosters comprehensive health and wellness.

The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the state government is dedicated to modernizing Ayurveda by merging it with contemporary scientific innovations. The establishment of more Ayurveda centers is a top priority to guarantee accessible and efficient healthcare for everyone.

He pointed out that Rajasthan's rich variety of medicinal plants is enhancing exports, establishing the state as a key center for Ayurveda and naturopathy. Bairwa remarked that Ayurveda begins where modern medicine concludes, as it seeks to eliminate diseases at their source. According to him, Rajasthan is not just a land of valor but also a cradle of health and wellness.

The Arogya Mela acts as an exceptional venue where attendees can obtain complimentary consultations and learn extensively about Ayurveda and other traditional healing methods.

During the event, Bairwa toured various stalls, engaging with exhibitors and discovering Ayurvedic products, traditional therapies, and medicinal plants. The program was overseen by MP Manju Sharma, who underscored the necessity of making Yoga and Ayurveda accessible to the general public, aligning with the vision of “Pehla Sukh Nirogi Kaya” (Good health is the first happiness).

She characterized the Arogya Mela as a vital initiative for enhancing health consciousness. A special publication for farmers was introduced at the event, offering comprehensive insights into medicinal plants to encourage Ayurvedic agriculture as a pathway to financial empowerment.

Experts in Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy, Unani, and Naturopathy are present at the fair, providing free consultations and treatments. Moreover, visitors can join yoga sessions, explore an exhibition of Ayurvedic products, and acquire knowledge about medicinal plants.

The occasion was graced by MLA Kalicharan Saraf, Jaipur Greater Mayor Saumya Gurjar, Principal Secretary (Ayurveda Department) Bhawani Singh Detha, along with other senior officials from various departments.
