New Delhi, Aug 18 (NationPress) The ancient medicinal system of Ayurveda holds the potential to revolutionize paediatric healthcare, stated Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, on Monday.
The Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ayush, convened its 30th national seminar themed "Management of Illness and Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda".
This initiative seeks to promote holistic paediatric healthcare by uniting esteemed Ayurveda experts, researchers, practitioners, and students.
“Ayurveda has consistently emphasized child health as the foundation of a thriving society. This National Seminar serves as a timely platform to underscore Ayurveda’s all-encompassing strategy for both managing illnesses and promoting wellness in child care. The discussions here will deepen the knowledge of practitioners, researchers, and students, thus enhancing paediatric healthcare through Ayurveda,” Jadhav remarked in a statement.
Vaidya Devendra Triguna, President of the Governing Body at RAV, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his role in internationalizing yoga and Ayurveda, while also commending RAV’s focused efforts on promoting paediatric wellness.
Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), pointed out the significant growth in public trust towards the Ministry of Ayush since its establishment.
She also expressed her appreciation for the solid government backing and the commitment of Ayush professionals.
Dr. Vandana Siroha, Director of RAV, emphasized the seminar’s significance in achieving the vision of “Swasth Balak, Swasth Bharat,” and highlighted Ayurveda’s paediatric sector, Kaumarbhritya, for its holistic approach to child wellness.
