Rajasthan Government to Establish New Industrial Hubs, Enhancing Business Environment

Jaipur, Jan 1 (NationPress) Capitalizing on the success of the recently held 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024, the BJP administration is prioritizing the establishment of new industrial nodes, logistics hubs, and a multi-modal logistics park to enhance the ease of doing business and draw in investors, as per officials.

A team of senior state officials, led by Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (Industries), along with Inderjeet Singh, Managing Director of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO), conducted site inspections near Jaipur on Monday to pinpoint suitable land parcels for these initiatives.

The officials evaluated locations in Manda, Phulera (adjacent to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor), and Bichoon industrial sectors, assessing various plots for feasibility in industrial and logistics development.

Conversations also revolved around a 67-hectare land parcel in Baghawas village, with the state government aiming to finalize a total of 200-250 hectares for logistics parks and industrial zones.

Proposals included expanding the Manda Industrial Area under the upcoming Land Aggregation Policy and hastening development in the Bichoon Industrial Area.

According to Ajitabh Sharma, the establishment of logistics parks and industrial zones will optimize operations and lower business costs, thereby making the state more appealing for investments.

He emphasized key growth areas, identifying the Dausa-Bandikui region, near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and Manda Extension, in close proximity to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, as prime industrial hotspots.

Plans are in motion for RIICO to create investment and logistics regions utilizing both government-owned and aggregated private lands.

Ajitabh Sharma stressed that the state government is diligently working, following the directives of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, to convert investment pledges from the summit into tangible projects.

Recently, Ajitabh Sharma led another site visit to the Dausa-Bandikui area, identifying land for a new investment zone along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

These initiatives highlight the department's dedication to realizing the promises made at the 'Rising Rajasthan' Summit, laying the groundwork for the state's industrial growth and sustainable development, officials stated.

The 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 9, attracted record-setting investment proposals totaling Rs 35 lakh crore.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sharma, the state is set to transform these proposals into impactful projects, further advancing Rajasthan's industrial landscape, officials added.
