Rajasthan: Rescue Operations Ongoing for 3-Year-Old Girl Trapped in 700-Foot Borewell

Jaipur, Dec 23 (NationPress) A 3-year-old girl fell into a 700-feet-deep borewell in Badiyali Dhani, within the Kiratpura region of Rajasthan's Kotputli, on Monday. An official reported that she is currently trapped at a depth of 150 feet.
Efforts are actively underway to rescue her.
Excavation activities are being conducted nearby with the assistance of a JCB, while a pipe is supplying oxygen to the girl, as stated by an official.
The rescue team has been monitoring the girl's movements through a camera that has been lowered into the borewell, capturing her cries as well.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is collaborating with the personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to facilitate the rescue.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at approximately 1:50 p.m. when the young girl, Chetna Chaudhary, the daughter of Bhupendra Chaudhary, was playing outside her home and accidentally slipped into the borewell.
Upon hearing her cries, her family quickly contacted the police. A team of police and local administration officials promptly arrived at the scene.
An official noted that due to the ongoing supply of oxygen, one cylinder is consumed every hour.
A medical team has ordered an additional 20 cylinders to ensure the girl's well-being.
The NDRF team intends to reach the girl using an iron rod and pipe, aiming to pull her out by securing her hands or legs in a circular ring attached to the rod.
Camera footage revealed the girl wearing a cap and shaking her head, indicating her presence.
Kotputli MLA Hansraj Patel confirmed that both the SDRF and NDRF teams, alongside police and local administration, are fully committed to the rescue operation, making every possible effort to save the girl.
The SDRF team has informed Superintendent of Police Rajan Dushyant about the operation's strategy, which includes an initial attempt to lift the girl using ropes and pipes.
The team is presently connecting pipes of appropriate lengths to facilitate the rescue.
