New Delhi, June 1 (NationPress) Rashtriya Lok Dal MP Malook Nagar sharply criticized Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's comments regarding Operation Sindoor, labeling the party as a 'Pakistan mouthpiece' engaged in trivial politics.
"Since April 22, every question you've posed echoes what the Pakistanis inquire about," Malook expressed to IANS.
"When these questions arise, they become breaking news in Pakistan and dominate their headlines," he added.
The RLD representative stated that there should be no doubt among Congress leaders, as Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed details about the Operation.
"You have now received all the answers. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has traveled the globe, lamenting that their airstrips have been destroyed and their facilities harmed repeatedly..." he stated.
Pleading with Congress leaders to prioritize national interest and refrain from engaging in trivial politics, he remarked, "The Congress must stop making outrageous statements simply because it is losing political ground."
Nagar also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership during Operation Sindoor and for empowering the armed forces to target terrorist strongholds deep within enemy territory.
The RLD leader's criticism arose after Kharge's comments following Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan's remarks on 'aircraft loss' amid recent hostilities and his rejection of Pakistan's claims of downing six Indian jets as 'absolutely incorrect'.
On Saturday, Kharge urged the Centre to convene a special Parliament session following General Chauhan's comments in an interview in Singapore.
The Congress leader also called for a thorough independent review of India's defense preparedness, similar to the Kargil Review Committee.
General Chauhan firmly dismissed Pakistan's assertions in the interview, stating that the claims are 'absolutely incorrect'.
Furthermore, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti, Director General of Air Operations, previously noted, 'Losses are a part of combat', while confirming that all Indian Air Force pilots returned safely.
