Key Takeaways
Patna, March 9 (NationPress) In the midst of evolving political dynamics in Bihar, Rohini Acharya, the daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has intensified her criticism of Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister, regarding his recent decision to enter the Rajya Sabha.
On the social media platform X, Rohini Acharya ridiculed Nitish Kumar for his previous claims of halting migration from Bihar.
She pointed out that during the Assembly election campaign, both the Chief Minister and his team had vowed to eliminate migration if they secured victory in the elections.
Yet, she accused the same leader of now planning to leave Bihar himself.
“The Chief Minister who vowed to end migration is now himself gearing up to migrate from Bihar,” she remarked, emphasizing the irony of the situation.
In another statement, Rohini criticized Nitish Kumar's views on nepotism, suggesting he is exhibiting political and ideological inconsistencies.
Additionally, she congratulated Nishant Kumar, Nitish Kumar's son, for entering politics with the Janata Dal (United) (JDU), expressing hope that he will prioritize public service over what she termed power-centric politics.
Meanwhile, Chittaranjan Gagan, spokesperson for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), also raised questions about Nitish Kumar's anticipated move to the Rajya Sabha.
Gagan inquired why the Chief Minister would contemplate a transition to the Upper House just 100 days post his oath on November 20, 2025, given that voters had entrusted him with a full five-year term.
He asserted that this issue transcends the internal affairs of the JDU or the National Democratic Alliance, presenting a significant concern for the people of Bihar who elected Nitish Kumar.
Furthermore, the RJD spokesperson stated that the citizens of Bihar deserve transparency regarding the circumstances surrounding the current political climate and the motivations behind Nitish Kumar's potential move to the Rajya Sabha, especially with his son Nishant now actively involved in politics.
He added that failing to disclose the underlying reasons for these developments might be viewed as a breach of trust by the people of Bihar, who have placed their confidence in their elected representatives.
