Sachdeva Criticizes Kejriwal for Claims of 'Purvanchali Insult', Labels It as Toxic Politics

New Delhi, Dec 21 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva charged AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal with indulging in regional politics and disseminating toxic rhetoric among the populace. This statement was made in reaction to the former Delhi chief minister's claim that the BJP has disrespected Purvanchalis.

In an interview with IANS, Sachdeva remarked, "Kejriwal's statements regarding Purvanchalis are profoundly disrespectful. It was Kejriwal who once remarked that Biharis arriving in Delhi with merely Rs 500 for bus and train fares receive free medical care worth lakhs, thereby congesting the city’s hospitals. This is an affront to the people of Purvanchal. Residents from various states, including Purvanchal, Bengal, Keral, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha reside in Delhi. However, Kejriwal chooses to pursue regional politics, spreading venom among the people, which is characteristic of his approach."

Sachdeva also welcomed the recent additions to the BJP, including former AAP MLA Sukhbir Singh Dalal and Sardar Balbir Singh, a six-time member of the Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee.

He explained, "Both are individuals of education. Sukhbir Singh Dalal has expressed that despite his five-year tenure as an MLA, he was unable to accomplish much for the villages due to the Kejriwal government being adversarial towards rural areas. Sardar Balbir Singh, a notable persona in the Sikh community and a member of the Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee, is a highly esteemed social figure. The BJP stands to gain from their inclusion."

On the recent MCD directive to verify birth certificates to identify Bangladeshi children in Delhi schools, Sachdeva stated, "The influx of illegal immigrants into Delhi poses a significant security risk. We have recently uncovered how the Delhi government is involved in producing fake certificates and unlawful Aadhaar cards. It is plausible they might also be issuing counterfeit birth certificates. We would welcome an investigation if it is initiated."

Commenting on the approval given by the Delhi LG to the ED to initiate a case against Arvind Kejriwal regarding the excise policy scandal, Sachdeva said, "The truth ultimately prevails, and this outcome was inevitable. The liquor scam is a blemish on Delhi, introduced by Kejriwal. He devised a scheme to undermine and plunder Delhi while taking commissions and bribes through the liquor scam. He will ultimately face the repercussions and may find himself imprisoned as the investigation advances. Being out on bail does not equate to being innocent."
