During a review meeting with the Urban Development and Autonomous Governance Department at the Chief Minister's Office on Tuesday, he urged officials to devise an effective action plan to ensure the campaign's success and to visibly enhance civic services across urban locales.
Sharma directed that pre-camps be organized from September 4 to 13 in all urban wards. Officers, in collaboration with councillors, will pre-identify local issues to facilitate prompt relief for citizens during the main campaign.
According to the CM, the campaign will prioritize enhancements in sanitation systems across cities, installation of new street lights, control of stray animals, and the issuance of birth and death certificates, alongside the beautification and upkeep of public spaces.
Furthermore, applications will be accepted for initiatives such as the PM Swanidhi loan distribution and the PM Suryaghar scheme, which offers 150 units of free electricity. Repairs of community buildings, Anganwadi centers, and schools will also be prioritized.
Emphasizing the need for comprehensive development, Sharma stated that the government is equally committed to planned development in rural areas. He emphasized the importance of future-oriented projects aimed at bolstering infrastructure related to sanitation, drinking water, roads, and sewerage.
Present at the meeting were the Minister of State for Urban Development and Self-Governance (Independent Charge), Jhabar Singh Kharra, along with senior officials from the department.
