The declaration made by the AAP leader indicates he has Rs 25,000 in cash while his spouse, Seema Sisodia, has Rs 15,000.
He holds deposits of Rs 34,43,762 in bank accounts, while his spouse has Rs 12,87,036.
The affidavit also states that the AAP leader owns moveable assets amounting to Rs 34,43,762, while his spouse's moveable properties are valued at Rs 12,87,036.
In addition, Manish Sisodia's affidavit reveals he has immovable assets worth Rs 23,000, while his wife possesses immovable properties valued at Rs 70,00,000.
After filing his nomination, he expressed, "Today I have submitted my nomination from Jangpura with the hope that the public will extend the same support they have given to Arvind Kejriwal's team over the past decade."
"If elected as the MLA of Jangpura, I will stand by the people in both their joys and challenges, assisting in enhancing their future by improving the education and health sectors. This is the motivation behind my nomination," he added.
He noted that during Kejriwal's administration, there have been significant improvements in the lives of Delhi residents, highlighting the AAP's commitment to welfare schemes like Mahila Samman Yojana, Sanjeevani Yojana, and Pujari-Granthi Samman Yojana.
Aiming remarks at the BJP, he stated that the party is a "factory of lies" and urged them to first determine their Chief Ministerial candidate.
On Wednesday, Sisodia, along with AAP supporters, conducted a roadshow that attracted a large number of supporters waving party flags and displaying posters of the former Deputy CM.
Prior to filing his nomination, he sought divine blessings at the ancient Angoori Temple in Kilokari.
The AAP has nominated Sisodia from the Jangpura Assembly constituency instead of his usual stronghold, Patparganj. He will compete against BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress’ Farhad Suri in the elections.
The voting for Delhi's 70 Assembly seats is scheduled for February 5, with the counting of votes set for February 8. The AAP, which won 67 seats in 2015 and maintained its dominance with 62 seats in 2020, aims for a third consecutive term.
The BJP, which increased its seats from three in 2015 to eight in 2020, is looking to expand its presence, while Congress aims for a comeback after failing to secure any seats in the last two elections.
