TDP Secures Insurance for All One Crore Members

Amaravati, Jan 2 (NationPress) The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) declared on Thursday that it has successfully arranged insurance coverage for its one crore workers.
The party's national general secretary and Education Minister Nara Lokesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various insurance providers to ensure insurance for one crore party activists.
The agreements were formalized with representatives from United India Insurance and Pragmatic Insurance Broking Services.
The TDP, which is at the forefront of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, boasts that it has made history by being the only political party in the country to offer insurance protection to as many as one crore activists.
According to the terms of the agreement with the insurance firms, the party has paid Rs 42 crore as the initial premium to provide insurance for its activists for one year starting from January 1, 2025.
The party plans to allocate a similar amount the following year as well. Under the MoU, each party activist qualifies for Rs 5 lakh in accidental insurance.
The party asserted that Lokesh has been making significant decisions aimed at the welfare of party workers since taking on the leadership role.
It has been reported that the party has already invested a staggering Rs 138 crore in the welfare of its cadre. A distinct legal team has been established to handle court cases against TDP activists during the YSRCP administration.
Additionally, a dedicated cell has been formed at the TDP central office to provide immediate assistance to party members in case of accidents.
Through the NTR Trust, residential schools have been launched in Hyderabad and Challapalli in Krishna district to offer free education to the children of deceased party activists.
The TDP reported that party activists across both Telugu States are expressing gratitude for Lokesh's commitment to their well-being, treating them like family members.
