His office reported that Tejasvi Surya is traveling with the families of Manjunath Rao from Shivamogga, Madhusudan from Bengaluru, and Bharath Bhushan also from Bengaluru.

A total of 13 family members of the deceased are making the journey together.

“Following the Pahalgam terror attack, Tejasvi Surya personally reached out to the families, extended his condolences, and promised all necessary aid. Arrangements for their lodging, meals, and travel from Pahalgam to Srinagar were made. At Srinagar Airport, he worked with local authorities to streamline the processes for the families,” his office claimed.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for each family affected by the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra asserted that India possesses the capability to eradicate terrorism, regardless of its location or the nations that support it.

“Our assurance is bolstered by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, known for his resilience, stands with us. We will not tolerate any terrorists,” Vijayendra remarked.

He emphasized that the violence that once plagued Kashmir has transitioned to peace, which has attracted a significant influx of tourists.

He alleged that Pakistan-backed terrorists orchestrated this attack because they cannot accept the tranquility established under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi administration, which has been re-elected for a third term.

“PM Modi is not one to remain inactive; he will take decisive action against terrorism,” he added.

He highlighted that Prime Minister Modi returned promptly from Saudi Arabia following the incident, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also hurried to Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, he accused Congress leaders of making reckless statements and stated that the Congress party, which ruled for 60–65 years, is responsible for the unresolved Kashmir issue.
