During his tribute, BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, a former Chief Minister, noted that during the Telangana movement, his party, then known as TRS, allied with Congress as part of its strategy for a separate Telangana state, and he recalled his experience working with Manmohan Singh as a minister in his Cabinet.
