Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Leaders Express Sorrow Over Dr. Manmohan Singh's Passing

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (NationPress) The Chief Ministers of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, and Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, have expressed their sorrow over the loss of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

“One of the greatest economists, leaders, reformers, and above all, a humanitarian of our times, Shri Manmohan Singh ji is no more,” tweeted Revanth Reddy on X.

While attending a Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Belgavi, Karnataka, the Chief Minister hailed Dr. Manmohan Singh as a man of virtue, possessing impeccable integrity and recognized as one of the true architects of new India.

“A man of virtue, impeccable integrity, marked above all by a humane touch in decision making, Dr. Singh is one of the true architects of new India. He demonstrated that decency and class are vital aspects of political and public life. His passing marks a significant loss for India, which has lost a great son,” he added.

“Indeed, in his own words, history will remember him more kindly and respectfully than his own times possibly did. My prayers and deepest condolences go to the bereaved family,” he concluded.

Similarly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu described Dr. Manmohan Singh's passing as a tremendous loss for the nation.

“Deeply saddened by the demise of former Prime Minister and esteemed economist, Shri Manmohan Singh Ji. An intellectual statesman, Dr. Singh embodied humility, wisdom, and integrity. From his economic reforms in 1991 as Finance Minister to his leadership as Prime Minister, he served the nation tirelessly and uplifted millions. His passing is a great loss to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and admirers,” posted the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief on X.

Former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao also expressed his condolences over Dr. Manmohan Singh's passing.

He remembered Dr. Singh's expertise as a financial expert who successfully implemented the economic reforms initiated by former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao during a challenging economic period.

The BRS chief acknowledged Dr. Singh as a great son of India who held numerous important positions. KCR pointed out that the historic establishment of Telangana state took place during Dr. Manmohan Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister.

KCR recalled that during the Telangana movement, the then TRS forged an alliance with the Congress party to advocate for a separate Telangana state, reminiscing about his time working with Dr. Manmohan Singh as a minister in his Cabinet.

“Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. His visionary policies and economic reforms laid the foundation for India’s rise as a global power. Heartfelt condolences to his family members. May his soul rest in peace,” remarked KCR.

Dr. Manmohan Singh was described by the BRS chief as a soft, gentle, and erudite leader whose contributions as Prime Minister were invaluable.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed his condolences regarding Dr. Manmohan Singh's demise.

“Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. His visionary policies and economic reforms laid the foundation for India’s rise as a global power. Heartfelt condolences to his family members. May his soul rest in peace,” posted Jagan Mohan Reddy.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao described Dr. Manmohan Singh as a silent architect of modern India, a visionary, a true intellectual, and a gracious human being.

“History will indeed be kinder and grateful to you. My heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. His legacy will continue to inspire many generations to come,” commented Rama Rao.
