Telangana Chief Minister Highlights Achievements in Farm Loan Waiver and Job Creation in Initial Year
Hyderabad, Dec 8 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, proclaimed on Sunday that the initial year of the Congress administration was marked by unparalleled accomplishments in farm loan waivers, crop bonuses, job generation, and drawing in investments.
He revealed that the government has forgiven debts for 25 lakh farmers by transferring over Rs 21,000 crore directly into their bank accounts.
In addition, the government provided a Rs 500 bonus per quintal for high-quality rice exceeding the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and guaranteed free 24/7 electricity for farmers.
Revanth Reddy expressed his views on ‘X’ regarding the successful culmination of the first year of ‘Praja Palana’, or people’s governance.
He noted that initiatives for women’s welfare, the caste census, and environmentally focused urban development policies are being considered for adaptation by other states.
The Chief Minister enumerated significant achievements of his administration. For women’s welfare, the government introduced a free bus travel initiative, provided free electricity for usage up to 200 units monthly, and made available cooking gas cylinders for Rs 500.
Revanth Reddy claimed that his government created over 55,000 government jobs for the youth within a single year, in addition to generating numerous jobs in the private sector. The unemployment rate has reportedly dropped to a historic low over the past 12 years.
In terms of housing, the allocation of 4 lakh houses under the Indiramma Housing Scheme is currently progressing.
The government has also established Young India Integrated Residential Schools and initiated Young India Skill University and Young India Sports University.
Moreover, the Chief Minister stated that the Congress government has launched a campaign against narcotics and drugs.
He asserted that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the state has doubled over the past nine months, with total investments in the last 11 months increasing by over 200 percent.
The government is also transforming Hyderabad into the first city in India to implement an urban reimagination initiative aimed at addressing climate change challenges.
He stated, “Establishing a Regional Ring Road, Regional Ring Rail, Radial Roads, the next phase of Metro Rail, and several other ambitious projects, including India’s first Artificial Intelligence City, within the Future City of Hyderabad, aims to ensure extensive growth and enhanced living conditions,” he mentioned.
The state administration has also initiated one of India’s first comprehensive caste surveys, with substantial participation from the population.
Revanth Reddy claimed that Hyderabad will soon become the first city in India to have traffic managed by transgender marshals.
Emphasizing that the Congress government has reinstated democracy and liberal principles, Revanth Reddy announced the unveiling of the Telangana Thalli statue at the Secretariat on December 9.
