Hyderabad, April 15 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, is set to embark on a week-long journey to Japan starting Tuesday night, aimed at attracting investments for the state.
The official delegation, led by the Chief Minister, will explore major cities such as Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Osaka, and Hiroshima between April 16 and April 22.
During this visit, the Chief Minister will officially open the ‘Telangana Pavilion’ at the Osaka World Expo 2025.
The delegation is scheduled to engage with prominent company executives, industrialists, and various stakeholders in Japan to foster investment opportunities.
Key discussions will revolve around investment potentials in the state and industrial-technological partnerships.
As indicated by the Chief Minister’s Office, the official team will present the investment opportunities in Telangana to potential investors during scheduled meetings, along with the state’s offer for industrial and technical collaboration to Japanese firms looking to establish manufacturing units in the region.
A group of state officials will accompany the Chief Minister on this important tour.
In related news, D. Sridhar Babu, the Minister for Industries and Information Technology, highlighted that Hyderabad has emerged as a global business hub, noting a significant rise in demand for commercial spaces in the city.
The minister made this statement during the inauguration of the Citizens Global Capability Centre, a collaborative effort by Citizens Financial Group and Cognizant Technologies.
He emphasized Hyderabad's impressive growth trajectory, which includes 355 Global Capability Centres employing over 300,000 professionals. The city recorded a remarkable 56% year-on-year increase in commercial space absorption, the highest in the nation.
“With more than 70 new GCCs established in the past year, we are optimistic that Telangana's contribution to India's GDP will reach $1 trillion by 2030,” he remarked.
“We are excited to target 200 million square feet of Grade-A commercial space by 2030, further solidifying our city's status as a global business hub. The inauguration of the Citizens Global Capability Centre signifies a key milestone towards that goal,” he added.
Initially, the centre is expected to generate over 1,000 job opportunities for IT and data professionals, with the workforce anticipated to double in the next 2-3 years.
