The first-year Intermediate (Class 11) tests kicked off at 9 a.m. across 1,495 examination centers in all 33 districts.

A total of 4,89,126 first-year students have registered to take the second language Paper-I exam.

As per the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education, 5,07,949 second-year students will be appearing for the second language Paper-II on Thursday.

The Board has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure the examinations run smoothly. Authorities have taken necessary precautions to guarantee a peaceful testing environment.

Examination centers throughout the state were bustling with activity as students began arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Similar to last year, students were granted a grace period of five minutes to enter the centers.

The Board of Intermediate Examinations has assigned 28,500 invigilators, along with 1,495 chief superintendents and departmental officers, and has established 75 flying squads and 200 sitting squads.

Police have made substantial security arrangements at the examination venues to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the exams.

Under section 163 of BNSS, police have enacted orders prohibiting gatherings of five or more individuals within a 200-meter radius of all examination centers.

Additionally, photocopy and Internet service centers are to remain closed within 100 meters of the testing sites.

Violators of these orders will face prosecution under applicable law.

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is providing additional bus services to help students reach their examination centers punctually.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that students can disembark at any point along RTC bus routes while showing their hall tickets. He instructed officials to ensure that students encounter no difficulties during their commute to the examination centers.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his best wishes to all students taking the Intermediate examinations, expressing trust that their hard work and dedication would lead to success. He encouraged students to approach the examinations calmly and positively, without succumbing to fear or pressure.

The examinations will conclude on March 18.
