Telangana Minister Denounces Assault on Allu Arjun's Residence

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (NationPress) The Minister for Roads and Buildings and Cinematography of Telangana, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, expressed his disapproval on Monday regarding the assault on the residence of Tollywood star Allu Arjun.
The minister utilized the platform ‘X’ to voice his condemnation of the attack on Allu Arjun's home in Hyderabad, which was carried out by a group of individuals on Sunday in relation to the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident.
“I strongly condemn the attack on the residence of film actor Allu Arjun. There is no place for physical aggression in a democracy. It is crucial that no one acts in a manner that undermines peace and order. The issue surrounding the Sandhya Theatre incident is currently under judicial scrutiny. The legal system will address it appropriately,” the Minister remarked.
Previously, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also denounced the attack on the actor's residence. He instructed the Director General of Police and City Police Commissioner to implement strict measures to uphold law and order, emphasizing that no leniency would be accepted in this matter.
The Chief Minister further directed senior officials to ensure that police personnel not involved in the investigation into the Sandhya Theatre incident refrain from commenting on the situation.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Vishnu Murthy was recently suspended due to corruption allegations and addressed a press conference on Sunday regarding the December 4 incident at Sandhya Theatre. He accused Allu Arjun of having a fundamental misunderstanding of the law and criticized the film industry for targeting the police department.
In response to the suspended police official's actions, senior officials have initiated disciplinary proceedings against him.
Akshansh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central Zone, stated that Vishnu Murthy held the press conference without prior approval from higher authorities or notifying any senior officer. “This behavior is a blatant violation of disciplinary standards. We are submitting a report against Sri Vishnu Murthy to the Director General of Police (DGP) for disciplinary action. The DGP's office will investigate this matter and take appropriate measures,” he explained.
“We reiterate that such actions will not be tolerated, and necessary disciplinary actions will be enforced against those breaching conduct regulations,” the DCP concluded.
Vishnu Murthy previously served as the DSP Task Force at Nizamabad, before being attached to the DGP Office amid allegations and subsequently suspended in October 2024.
