New Delhi, Dec 27 (NationPress) Senior BJP MP Jagdambika Pal expressed his profound condolences on the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, asserting that the gap left in the realms of politics and economics is irreplaceable.
Taking to the social media platform X, Jagdambika Pal shared in a post, "The gap in the realms of politics and economics resulting from the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is truly unfillable. His passing is an irreparable loss for our entire nation. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and admirers. Respect to you!!"
Reflecting on Dr. Singh’s legacy, Pal described his passing as an irreparable loss and stated in a video message posted on X, "After Jawaharlal Nehru and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if there's any leader who held the Prime Minister’s role for an extended period, it was Dr. Manmohan Singh. He made invaluable contributions to India’s economic reforms."
Jagdambika Pal also highlighted the 2008 global financial crisis, emphasizing Dr. Singh’s pivotal role during this challenging time. Pal remarked, "When developed nations, including England and other European countries, faced economic turmoil, Dr. Manmohan Singh guided India’s economic progress with his policies. His vision provided a new direction to our economy, leaving global leaders in awe."
The BJP leader recognized Dr. Singh’s efforts in enhancing rural India. He noted, "During his tenure, initiatives like MGNREGA and Aadhaar were launched, which invigorated rural development. These programs established a solid groundwork for rural growth and continue to create employment opportunities today."
Sharing a personal anecdote to illustrate Dr. Singh’s character, Pal reminisced about the time when Sushma Swaraj was the Leader of the Opposition in 2009. He stated, "There were often open and heated debates on various issues. Despite the fervor of discussions, Dr. Manmohan Singh distinguished himself by his ability to rise above political animosity. His calm and composed demeanor made him a unique figure in today’s world."
The BJP leader lauded Dr. Singh’s steadfast dedication to national progress, affirming that he was always focused on elevating the country to new heights. "He consistently endeavored to provide a new direction to India’s development and worked to ensure that the Indian flag flew high in every domain," he remarked.
In closing his tribute, the BJP leader stated, "Finding a personality akin to Dr. Manmohan Singh in the contemporary political landscape will be a challenge. His character was exceptional and genuinely inspiring."
