Three Lives Lost and Three Injured in Truck-autorickshaw Crash in Nalanda, Bihar

Patna, Jan 9 (NationPress) A devastating road accident in Bihar's Nalanda district on Wednesday resulted in the loss of three lives and left three others injured when a speeding truck collided with a passenger-laden autorickshaw near the Pragati Petrol pump in the Chhabilpur police station area, as reported by the police.
The accident's impact was so severe that three individuals died instantly.
The deceased have been identified as Kanchan Devi, Dilip Kumar, and Bindi Prasad.
The injured are Priyanka Devi, Rinki Devi, and Ravi Ranjan Kumar.
All the injured victims were taken to the Rajgir sub-divisional hospital.
Due to their critical condition, the medical staff referred them to Pawapuri Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.
According to doctors, while the condition of all injured individuals has stabilized, the incident has left their families in deep distress.
The victims were en route from Rajgir to Barnaussa in an autorickshaw when the truck collided with them.
Eyewitnesses described the crash as catastrophic, resulting in chaos and panic at the scene.
In the aftermath, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kumar Omkeshwar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Singh, Inspector Sanjay Kumar, and the station heads of Chhabilapur and Rajgir police stations rushed to the hospital.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been filed against the truck driver, who fled the scene after the crash, at Chhabilpur police station. Efforts to apprehend him are currently underway, according to Sanjay Kumar, the SHO of Chhabilapur police station.
This incident underscores the ongoing issue of reckless driving on the roads of Bihar, which frequently leads to life-threatening accidents.
The affected families are calling for immediate justice and adequate support for the victims.
The local administration has pledged to take all necessary measures to ensure proper treatment and to hold those responsible for the accident accountable.
