Hyderabad, April 8 (NationPress) A traffic home guard lost his life and two others sustained injuries when a truck went out of control near Miyapur Metro Station on Tuesday.
The vehicle, which was en route to Miyapur from Kukatpally, collided with a traffic umbrella at the U-turn point.
Three traffic police officers stationed at the traffic umbrella suffered critical injuries during the incident, which took place as the truck attempted a U-turn at Metro pillar number 600.
The truck was reportedly traveling at a high speed, causing the driver to lose control while executing the U-turn.
The injured officers were promptly taken to a private hospital in Gachibowli, where one of them, Simhachalam, tragically succumbed to his injuries. The other two, Rajavardhan and Vikender, remain in critical condition.
All personnel were affiliated with the Cyberabad traffic police. The truck driver fled the scene post-accident. Authorities have lodged a case of negligence against the driver and initiated a search for him.
