During a review meeting of the TTDC at the civil secretariat, he observed the progress made by the Corporation and asserted that Tripura tea is comparable in quality and flavor to other renowned varieties.

The daily wage for tea workers has seen an increase from Rs 105 to Rs 204. The upgrade of the Brahmakund Tea Processing Centre in West Tripura has been finalized, and a small processing factory has been established at Machmara Estate.
