Agartala, May 8 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, stated on Thursday that if Pakistan continues to escalate tensions or instigate new conflicts, India would decisively respond, emphasizing that Indians are secure due to the courageous actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During an event commemorating World Red Cross Day 2025, the Chief Minister highlighted that the Indian armed forces offered a "fitting response" through ‘Operation Sindoor’ to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in 26 fatalities, among other heinous acts on Indian territory.
“What Prime Minister Narendra Modi articulates, he implements. As long as Modi remains Prime Minister, India and its citizens are secure. We fully support him,” Saha affirmed, expressing solidarity with the armed services.
He noted that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was a carefully orchestrated mission targeting terrorist training camps and launch sites in Pakistan.
Commending the efforts of Red Cross organizations, Saha, who also manages the Home and Health portfolios, stated that cooperation with this international body is crucial.
He remarked that the Indian Red Cross Society has long been involved in various humanitarian initiatives through extensive social welfare projects.
He added that their volunteers consistently step up to offer their services, addressing issues such as blood shortages, assisting the distressed, raising awareness about drug abuse, and managing disasters.
On the occasion of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2025, the Tripura branch of the Indian Red Cross Society organized a two-day event.
The Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated blood donation camps across seven districts.
“The state government is working to enhance the infrastructure across all eight districts so that blood collected through these voluntary donation camps can be adequately stored and distributed to those in need,” he concluded.
