Two Individuals Injured in Theatre Stampede During 'Pushpa 2' Premiere in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 4 (NationPress) A woman and a boy were injured in a stampede at a theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere showing of 'Pushpa 2', featuring Allu Arjun, on Wednesday night.

The police had to use a lathi charge to disperse the crowd outside Sandhya Theatre at RTC X Roads.

A chaotic scene unfolded as overly enthusiastic fans of Allu Arjun rushed to catch a glimpse of the actor, who had just arrived at the venue.

A tense atmosphere enveloped the theatre located in this bustling area. The injured woman and boy were promptly transported to a local hospital.

A significant crowd had assembled at the theatre to see the actor, who attended the screening alongside several other members of the film crew.

During the uproar, the main entrance of the theatre collapsed. As Allu Arjun remained inside, police intensified security measures by deploying additional forces to avert any further incidents.

Directed by Sukumar, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is set to release in various languages on Thursday. Premiere screenings were arranged at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday across selected theatres in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Bengaluru.

This highly anticipated film is expected to debut on over 10,000 screens in both 2D and 4DX formats. The release of the 3D version was unfortunately canceled last minute due to delays in post-production.

'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is a sequel to the blockbuster 'Pushpa: The Rise', which achieved massive success across India.

In this sequel, Rashmika Mandanna stars as the female lead, while Fahadh Faasil reprises his significant role from the first film. The supporting cast includes Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Daali Dhananjaya, and more.

Amid the heightened excitement among fans, ticket prices for the film have been raised in both Telugu states.

A public interest litigation was filed in the Telangana High Court contesting the state government's decision to permit this ticket price increase. However, the court declined to halt the film's release.
