Allu Arjun Pays Visit to Injured Child at Hyderabad Medical Facility

Hyderabad, Jan 7 (NationPress) The renowned Tollywood star Allu Arjun made a visit to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad on Tuesday to see the eight-year-old boy, Sri Tej, who was injured during a stampede at the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya Theatre last month.

With police ensuring strict security, the actor arrived at the hospital in the morning and dedicated approximately half an hour to his visit.

He was joined by Dil Raju, the Chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation. During his visit, the actor inquired about Sri Tej’s health from the medical staff, met with his father, and promised complete support.

Originally, Allu Arjun intended to visit the hospital on January 5 after reporting to the Chikkadpally Police Station, following the conditions set by a city court for his regular bail. However, he had to cancel his plans after receiving a notice from the Ramgopalpet Police Station, recommending that he reconsider his visit. The police urged Allu Arjun to keep his visit discreet to avoid any public or media gatherings that could disrupt the hospital's serene atmosphere.

The authorities cautioned that any failure to cooperate could result in him being held fully accountable for any adverse effects resulting from his hospital visit.

On January 6, the police issued another notice, reiterating the need for confidentiality regarding his visit to maintain public order in the hospital vicinity. They also proposed assistance in arranging his visit.

Tragically, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her son Sri Tej sustained severe injuries in the stampede that occurred on December 4 during the premiere attended by Allu Arjun.

The police alleged that Allu Arjun had visited the theater without the necessary permissions and conducted a ‘roadshow’ that contributed to the tragic incident. He was arrested on December 13 in connection with the case but was granted interim bail by the High Court that same day.

Last week, Nampally Court granted regular bail to the actor, directing him to assist with the investigation and report to the relevant police station every Sunday.

Allu Arjun faced criticism from various factions for not reaching out to console the family of the deceased or visiting the injured boy sooner. His father, producer Allu Arvind, visited the hospital twice, and during his last trip on December 25, he provided a cheque of Rs 2 crore to the victim’s family. Allu Arjun contributed Rs 1 crore, while Mythri Movies, the film's producers, offered Rs 50 lakh. The director of the film, Sukumar, also donated Rs 50 lakh to the family.
