Hyderabad, Dec 27 (NationPress) Actor Allu Arjun made a virtual appearance before the Nampally court through video conferencing concerning the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.
Allu Arjun was taken into custody on December 13 due to his involvement in the case linked to the tragic stampede that occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre during the premier screening of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which resulted in the death of a woman.
He was brought before the Nampally court, which placed him under 14 days of judicial custody. Subsequently, his legal team sought relief from the High Court, which granted him interim bail on the same day.
Identified as accused number 11 in the case, he was released from Chanchalguda Jail the following day.
With the judicial remand period concluding on December 27, the actor was required to appear in court for additional proceedings.
Allu Arjun's legal representatives requested the court's consent for his virtual attendance, citing that his physical presence could potentially lead to a chaotic scenario at the court premises.
The court has rescheduled the hearing for January 10 regarding the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, and it is expected to address the matter concerning Allu Arjun’s remand on the same day.
Furthermore, the Nampally Court postponed the hearing of his regular bail petition to December 30.
The police requested additional time to submit their response to the bail petition. In granting the police time, the Nampally court has rescheduled the hearing to Monday.
Upon granting interim bail for four weeks on December 13, the High Court instructed Allu Arjun to approach the trial court for regular bail.

In relation to the investigation, the police interrogated Allu Arjun on December 24, where he was questioned for three hours at Chikkadpally Police Station based on a 10-minute video compiled from CCTV footage of the incident.
During the Assembly session on December 21, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun for attending the theatre without police authorization and conducting a roadshow prior to and following the stampede.
Shortly thereafter, Allu Arjun held a press conference, labeling the accusations as untrue. He expressed that he felt wounded by what he described as character assassination.
