Court Delays Ruling on Allu Arjun's Bail Request

Hyderabad, Dec 30 (NationPress) The Nampally Court will deliver its decision on January 3 regarding the regular bail application of Telugu film star Allu Arjun in the case concerning the Sandhya Theatre stampede.
On Monday, the court examined the arguments presented for the petition alongside the police's counter. After considering both perspectives, the court has reserved its ruling.
The hearing for the petition commenced on December 27, but due to the police requesting additional time to file their counter, the court postponed the hearing until December 30.
Earlier, the High Court had granted interim bail for four weeks on December 13, instructing Allu Arjun to seek regular bail from the trial court.
Arjun was taken into custody on December 13 related to the incident that occurred on December 4, during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in a woman's death. He was subsequently presented before the Nampally court, which placed him under 14-day judicial custody.
His legal team then approached the High Court, which granted him interim bail on the same day.
The actor, who is identified as accused number 11 in this case, was released from Chanchalguda Jail the following day.
With the 14-day judicial remand concluding on December 27, the actor was required to appear before the court for further proceedings. He attended the court session via video conference after receiving authorization.
Additionally, the court has postponed the hearing in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case until January 10, on which day it is expected to also address matters related to Allu Arjun’s remand.
The day after the stampede incident, law enforcement charged the theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his team with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
As part of the investigation, police conducted an interrogation of Allu Arjun on December 24, during which he was questioned for three hours at Chikkadpally Police Station, based on a 10-minute video compiled from CCTV footage of the event.
