Individual and Friends Charged for Destroying Theater Over Non-Screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’

Mumbai, Dec 5 (NationPress) A man from Chennur in the Mancherial district of Telangana has been charged by the local law enforcement along with his associates for causing damage to a theater when they could not watch the newly released ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ because the cinema did not screen the movie.
According to media reports, Bajjuri Vinay and his group reportedly broke the glass window panes of the Srinivas Theatre as they illegally entered the theater premises protesting against the management. Vinay allegedly issued threats to the owner, Rajamalla Goud, stating he would kill him if the Allu Arjun film was not shown. Following this incident, the theater owner filed a complaint with the police, leading to the case being registered.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of the year and is expected to shatter box-office records upon its release.
The film serves as a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was released during the peak of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The initial part of the franchise proved to be a box-office triumph even as many theaters across the country were closed.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is helmed by Sukumar. The soundtrack of the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who previously won a National Award for his hit soundtrack in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Notably, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ emerged as a box-office success at a time when the majority of theaters nationwide were shut down due to the pandemic.
