Reflecting on A.B. Vajpayee as a statesman, visionary leader, and a politician of integrity, the Governor remarked, "Atal ji regarded Himachal Pradesh as his home and always exhibited dignity in public life. He never engaged in corrupt practices to gain power or preserve his government. The best way we can honor him today is by adhering to the principles of integrity and value-based politics that he embodied."
