Lucknow, Sep 7 (NationPress) Senior Congress leader from Uttar Pradesh, Avinash Pande, asserts that the recent Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar has been a triumph, with its effects expected to resonate in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
During a ‘Voter Adhikar Rally’ in Sitapur, inspired by the Bihar initiative, Pande noted a notable shift in public sentiment against the current administration. Numerous Congress members from various parts of the state joined the rally.
“The enthusiastic public turnout today illustrates the prevailing sentiment among citizens. They desire a government that genuinely prioritizes their needs. In the 2027 UP Assembly elections, the electorate will respond decisively to the NDA. The transformation will initiate from Bihar this year,” stated Pande.
Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai also spoke at the event, emphasizing that this rally would extend from village to village and district to district, ensuring everyone has access to their voting rights.
On social media platform X, Avinash Pande expressed:
“The overwhelming crowd in Biswan, Sitapur, has made it evident — the public will no longer accept the BJP’s electoral deceptions. The Constitution guarantees every citizen equal voting rights, yet the BJP government, in collusion with the Election Commission, is systematically undermining these rights. Fraudulent voters are being added en masse while genuine opposition votes are being removed strategically. This is not merely electoral fraud; it’s a direct assault on our democracy. Congress will vigorously combat this alongside the people to uphold democratic values.”
Pande also supported RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, endorsing his critique of the BJP’s unfulfilled commitments.
“Tejashwi is correct. Not just in Bihar, but across the nation, the youth feel deceived by the pledge of 2 crore jobs annually. Today, they are questioning — where are the 22 crore jobs promised over the last 11 years? Instead, industries are closing down, unemployment is escalating despite educational qualifications, and inflation is soaring. The youth are experiencing helplessness and insecurity. I am confident that the people will respond to this betrayal in the days ahead,” he added.
