Bengaluru, Jan 3 (NationPress) An unidentified perpetrator allegedly sexually harassed a woman doctor in AGB Layout, Chikkabanavara, as reported by the police on Saturday.

The incident took place when the doctor was making her way back to her paying guest (PG) hostel after completing her shift at a private hospital.

After arriving at the hostel via auto-rickshaw, she walked a short distance toward the entrance.

At that moment, the suspect approached her from behind on a scooter, inquiring about directions.

After a brief exchange, he moved away but then returned on foot, inappropriately touching the doctor and verbally abusing her.

Upon her loud cries for help, the assailant fled the scene.

The entire episode was captured on a CCTV camera located near the PG hostel. The footage shows the suspect approaching the victim on a scooter, conversing briefly before departing.

He then performs a U-turn, approaches her again, and assaults her despite her protests. He is later seen fleeing as she raises her voice for assistance.

An FIR was subsequently lodged at the Soladevanahalli police station. The police have documented the victim's statement and initiated a search to apprehend the suspect.

Officials emphasized that the case is being taken seriously, with ongoing efforts to identify the assailant through CCTV footage and other technical evidence.
