Panipat, Dec 14 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 'Bima Sakhi Yojana' in Panipat, Haryana, a multitude of women shared their heartfelt thanks, commending the initiative as a crucial advancement in empowering women and enhancing their economic opportunities.

Speaking to IANS, Jyoti conveyed her appreciation, stating, "When PM Modi visited Panipat on Monday, I was there to witness the launch of this scheme. I believe it will greatly benefit women, offering us the chance to work and earn. It will indeed empower us and give us the freedom to succeed."

Another enthusiastic woman noted, "I came here to enroll in the Bima Sakhi Yojana. I attended the launch by PM Modi, and I hope many more women will step forward to participate. This initiative is bound to empower women."

Yet another woman commented, "Every initiative introduced by PM Modi has been advantageous for our nation's progress. Since the BJP assumed power in 2014, India has been advancing steadily. I have come here to register for the Bima Sakhi Yojana, which will not only help me earn Rs. 7,000 monthly but also provide added commissions. I encourage all women to sign up and seize this opportunity."

LIC Development Officer Krishna Beniwal confirmed the increasing interest in the scheme, stating, "Many women are coming daily for registration, and we are providing details about the Bima Sakhi Yojana. Currently, over 150 women have registered. We are also striving to establish Panipat as a center for LIC examinations."

The Bima Sakhi Yojana is designed to offer economic empowerment and self-sufficiency for women by providing job opportunities and financial independence. This government initiative encourages women to actively engage in the insurance sector, which has historically been male-dominated.

This program targets women aged between 18 and 70 who have completed at least the 10th grade. Participants will receive specialized training and a stipend during the first three years to enhance financial literacy and insurance awareness.

With an initial budget of Rs 100 crore, the scheme aims to create job opportunities for women in both urban and rural settings, thus fostering their engagement in the expanding insurance sector.
