Young Mother Welcomes Baby at Temporary Medical Facility in UP's Mahakumbh Nagar

Mahakumbh Nagar, Dec 29 (NationPress) A 20-year-old woman gave birth to a baby on Sunday at a temporary medical facility established in Mahakumbh Nagar, the 76th district of Uttar Pradesh, officials reported.
This marks the first delivery at this facility.
A dedicated team of three doctors, led by Gaurav Dubey, successfully assisted the woman at the Central Hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar.
According to Gaurav Dubey, the nodal medical officer at the Mahakumbh Mela, "This is the first child born at the Central Hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar. The young mother, Sonam, is now the proud mother of a son named Ratna."
The medical team reported that the newborn weighs 2.4 kg.
This successful delivery was performed by doctors Nupur and Vartika under the supervision of Gaurav Dubey at the Central Hospital.
Gaurav Dubey further stated, "Both the mother and the child are in excellent health. They have been transferred to Swaroop Rani Medical College via ambulance from the Central Hospital."
For the first time, a delivery service for expectant mothers is available at the temporary hospital located in the parade area of the Mahakumbh Mela. A dedicated labor room has also been established here.
The world's largest human congregation, 'Mahakumbh 2025', is set to take place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from January 13 to February 26, with extensive preparations underway to ensure it is an event of unmatched grandeur, safety, and spiritual importance.

With an anticipated influx of over 40 crore devotees from across the globe, the 45-day festival promises to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual traditions, and contemporary advancements.
The Culture Ministry has characterized Mahakumbh 2025 as more than just a religious event, dubbing it a "global celebration of spirituality, culture, safety, sustainability, and modernity". Special arrangements, including multilingual signage and cultural initiatives, are being implemented to welcome international visitors and celebrate India's diversity.
