Intensive Preparations Underway for Mahakumbh 2025, 100-Bed Hospital for Pilgrims Nears Completion

Prayagraj, Dec 6 (NationPress) In anticipation of the Mahakumbh 2025, preparations are in full swing to ensure that pilgrims have access to comprehensive diagnostic and health services.

A significant number of specialist doctors are being deployed to administer prompt treatment to pilgrims in case of emergencies.

As part of these initiatives, a 100-bed hospital is nearing completion at the Parade Ground in Mahakumbh Nagar.

A 10-bed ICU has already become operational. These healthcare provisions reflect the state government's dedication to providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for all attendees of the Mahakumbh.

Senior Medical Officer Dr. Gaurav Dubey, who oversees the Central Hospital, affirms that preparations are robust to ensure 24/7 medical support for the pilgrims attending the Mahakumbh.

"A 100-bed hospital at the Parade Ground is almost ready. By Friday evening, ahead of CM Yogi Adityanath's visit, a 10-bed ICU will also be fully operational at the Central Hospital. The Army and Medanta Hospital have joined forces to establish this facility, which will address the needs of the pilgrims. It will offer essential medical care during emergencies, with all required equipment already in place."

Dr. Dubey also indicated that the 100-bed hospital at the Parade Ground will have round-the-clock staffing by doctors, providing unlimited OPD capacity.

Dedicated wards for males, females, and children are being established, along with delivery rooms, an emergency ward, and consultation rooms. Special provisions for tests, including OPD, X-ray, ultrasound, and ECG rooms, are also being arranged.

In addition to the Central Hospital, two 25-bed hospitals at Aral and Jhunsi, along with eight smaller 20-bed hospitals equipped with special facilities, are under construction. Furthermore, two makeshift hospitals are being established to manage infectious diseases, with specialist doctors available on short notice.
