New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) In an effort to enhance fire prevention awareness, Adani Electricity announced on Wednesday that it is commemorating ‘Fire Service Week’ from April 14-20 throughout its power distribution territory.
Throughout this week, a series of fire safety workshops are being conducted for Adani Electricity's power warriors. This year’s theme is "Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India," which highlights the importance of community participation, education, preparedness, and innovation in fire safety.
The ‘Fire Service Week’ is recognized nationwide under the direction of the Fire Adviser from the Ministry of Home Affairs, taking place from April 14-20.
This observance serves as a tribute to those who lost their lives during the tragic fire and subsequent explosions on April 14, 1944, at the Victoria Dock in Mumbai Port, and aims to advance fire safety measures across all sectors.
Last month, Adani Electricity celebrated 'National Safety Week 2025' from March 4-10, upholding stringent safety standards as India continues its development journey.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness and promote the adoption of safety protocols within its power distribution network and various operational sites, as stated by Adani Electricity, which is the leading power distribution firm serving more than three million customers in Mumbai.
To support this goal, employees of Adani Electricity took part in workshops organized by the safety team of the company.
Additionally, in a bid to enhance students’ learning experiences and improve educational outcomes, Adani Electricity and the Adani Foundation recently celebrated the third edition of their annual ‘Utthan Utsav’ event.
This initiative has significantly improved the educational results of over 25,000 students across 83 BMC schools located in regions such as Malad, Dahisar, Borivali, Chembur, and Kurla, according to the company.
‘Utthan’ involves adopting government primary schools, mentoring ‘Priya Vidyarthis’ (progressive learners), tackling dropout rates, and collaborating for staff development.
