Golf: Leading Players Set to Compete in the First-Ever Vishwa Samudra Open Starting Tuesday

New Delhi, Dec 9 (NationPress) The inaugural Vishwa Samudra Open is set to kick off at the Delhi Golf Club (DGC) from December 10 to 13, featuring top players from the tour such as SSP Chawrasia, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Rahil Gangjee, Gaurav Ghei, Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi, Chikkarangappa S, Yuvraj Sandhu, alongside Olympian Udayan Mane and various foreign competitors.
The Vishwa Samudra Group and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the authorized body for professional golf in India, announced the launch of the Vishwa Samudra Open presented by Kapil Dev, which boasts a substantial prize pool of Rs 2 crore.
The tournament will showcase a remarkable lineup of Indian talent, including Om Prakash Chouhan, Olympian Udayan Mane, the current 2024 PGTI Ranking leader Veer Ahlawat, Karandeep Kochhar, and Manu Gandas, among others.
The international challenge will feature players such as Stepan Danek from the Czech Republic, Jamal Hossain, Badal Hossain, Md Akbar Hossain, Md Jakiruzzaman Jakir from Bangladesh, N. Thangaraja and K Prabagaran from Sri Lanka, Kevin Esteve Rigaill from Andorra, Subash Tamang from Nepal, Sukhraj Singh Gill from Canada, Makoto Iwasaki from Japan, and Americans Dominic Piccirillo and Digraj Singh Gill.
In addition to Gaurav Ghei, the Delhi Golf Club will also see representation from professionals including Sachin Baisoya, Harshjeet Singh Sethie, Manav Jaini, Arjun Singh, Naman Dawar, Karan Vasudeva, Saarthak Chhibber, Harsh Gangwar, Pawan Kumar, and Rohit Baisoya.
