Tangerang (Indonesia), Aug 11 (NationPress) The Indian Golf Union has dispatched a four-member team to Indonesia to participate in the inaugural Mid-Amateur Championship organized by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation in collaboration with the Indonesia Golf Association.

Heading the team is Ranjit Singh, the current IGU All-India Mid-Amateur champion, alongside teammates Arjun Singh, Simarjeet Singh, and Col. Varoon Parmar. They will compete at the esteemed Gading Raya Golf Club in Tangerang, Indonesia, from August 12-14.

The Mid-Amateur Championship features four age divisions: Group A (ages 25 to 29), Group B (ages 30 to 37), Group C (ages 38 to 46), and Group D (ages 47 and above). It is open to male players with Amateur Status according to R&A guidelines.

This tournament will be conducted in an individual strokeplay format over 54 holes, with 80 golfers from 20 countries vying for the prestigious trophy.
