Marcus Rashford Dismisses 'Absurd' Speculations About Leaving Man Utd

Manchester, Jan 1 (NationPress) With Marcus Rashford’s career at Manchester United teetering on the brink, the English forward has dismissed the ‘absurd’ rumors circulating about him in recent weeks. Rashford has been absent from the Premier League squad since December 1, when he scored a double in the 4-0 rout of Everton, which was Amorim’s first league success at the club.
At 27, Rashford has spent his entire career at Manchester United, but amid speculation of a rift with the new head coach, he expressed that it might be time for a ‘new challenge.’ Reports indicate that the English international could potentially exit his boyhood club in the upcoming January transfer window.
A report from the British outlet The Sun suggests that Rashford is currently in discussions with the prominent sports agency Stellar to facilitate a move this month. Although he is presently represented by his brother, Dwaine Maynard, the star is eager to enlist additional support for his exit. Stellar has a history of successful transfers, including Gareth Bale’s £86 million transfer to Real Madrid in 2013.
Rashford refuted these claims by sharing a screenshot of the article on his Instagram, asserting that he has not engaged with any agency and has no plans to do so. “There have been many false stories written in the last few weeks, but this is getting ridiculous – I have never met with any agency and do not have any intentions to…,” Rashford stated in his post.
Amorim has maintained that he holds no issues with Rashford and has excluded him from the squad due to perceived lack of effort in training. The head coach emphasized that the situation will remain unchanged until he deems it the ‘right moment’ for Rashford’s return. The 27-year-old was back on the bench for the 0-2 defeat against Newcastle United, yet did not participate in the match. The Portuguese coach claimed that his decision to include Rashford on the bench was not intended to send a message.
“I prioritize the team. I think a lot about Marcus. When I’m there, I’m not making any statements. I simply aim to win the match,” he asserted.
“And you can feel the urgency – I’m referring to our fight against relegation. Do I aim to make a statement during a match? No, my goal is to win. We have numerous players available, and he is among them. As I mentioned, I select my players weekly. He was available for selection, and this time he is here,” Amorim explained in a press conference.
