Dhaka, March 16 (NationPress) The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed the complete itinerary for New Zealand’s upcoming white-ball tour, which will include three One Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) scheduled in Bangladesh.

The New Zealand team, captained by Mitchell Santner, is anticipated to arrive in Dhaka on April 13. The ODI series will kick off on April 17, with subsequent matches set for April 20 and April 23. The first two ODIs will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium located in Mirpur, while the concluding match of the series will be held at the Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. All three ODIs are planned as day-night contests.

After the ODIs, the teams will compete in a three-match T20I series. The first two T20Is are scheduled for April 27 and April 29 in Chattogram, with the final match taking place in Mirpur on May 2.

In their last home ODI series against New Zealand, Bangladesh faced defeat, with the series concluding 2–0 in favor of the visitors after the initial game was abandoned due to weather.

New Zealand recently finished as the runners-up in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where India successfully defended its title by beating the Kiwis by 96 runs in the final match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Batting first after New Zealand chose to field, India amassed 255 runs for five wickets in their 20 overs, bolstered by an explosive 89 from Sanju Samson. In their pursuit, Santner’s team struggled to chase down the challenging target. Tim Seifert provided some resistance with a brisk half-century, but the team lost wickets at regular intervals.

Jasprit Bumrah had a remarkable bowling performance, recording figures of 4 for 15, leading to New Zealand's dismissal for 159 in just 19 overs, thereby securing India its third T20 World Cup title.

Currently, New Zealand is engaged in a five-match T20I series at home against South Africa and trails 0–1 after their defeat in the opening match. Meanwhile, Bangladesh recently hosted Pakistan in a three-match ODI series, emerging victorious with a 2–1 series win.
