London, April 4 (NationPress) Nuno Espirito Santo has been honored with the Manager of the Month accolade for March, marking the seventh time he has received this recognition in his Premier League journey.
This season, the head coach of Nottingham Forest has triumphed in securing the award three times, having previously won in October and December 2024.
The Portuguese manager has successfully led Forest's quest for a UEFA Champions League spot, with his squad clinching victories in both their March fixtures. He guided the team to a 1-0 victory against the reigning champions Manchester City before achieving a 4-2 win at Ipswich Town.
Only seven managers have garnered the award more frequently than Nuno, who now stands alongside Mikel Arteta and Rafa Benitez in the all-time rankings.
Nuno has the opportunity to become just the fourth manager to achieve at least four Manager of the Month awards in a single season, following in the footsteps of Pep Guardiola in 2017/18, Arteta in 2022/23, and Jurgen Klopp in 2019/20, the latter having secured five awards.
His previous wins came with Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2018, June 2020, and October 2020, as well as with Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021, and now three times with Forest.
Nuno topped a shortlist featuring Ruben Amorim of Manchester United and Fabian Hurzeler of Brighton & Hove Albion following the aggregation of public votes and those from a panel of specialists.
Nottingham Forest also has the chance to achieve a March awards double, as Anthony Elanga's debut goal against Ipswich has been nominated for the Goal of the Month award.
