Patna (Bihar), Nov 30 (NationPress) The president of the Bihar Cricket Association, Rakesh Tiwari, has expressed his admiration for the young bowler Suman Kumar, who accomplished the extraordinary feat of securing all 10 wickets during an Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match against Rajasthan at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna on Saturday.

Suman Kumar, hailing from Samastipur district in Bihar, has made history by achieving this milestone in the ongoing Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match against Rajasthan. The Bihar bowler also recorded a hat-trick in the 36th over, dismissing Mohit Bhagtani, Anas, and Sachin Sharma in that single over. This season, Suman Kumar has claimed a total of 22 wickets.

The BCA president Rakesh Tiwari congratulated Suman Kumar and commended him for his commitment as a young cricketer. He highlighted the progress of Bihar cricket, noting that players from the state are now capable of excelling on a national level.

“Suman Kumar’s remarkable achievement of taking all 10 wickets in an innings is a moment of immense pride for Bihar cricket. His commitment and skill exemplify the burgeoning cricketing landscape in Bihar, which is now cultivating exceptional players who can shine on the national stage,” stated Mr. Rakesh Tiwari.

“On behalf of the Bihar Cricket Association, I extend my congratulations to Suman on his outstanding performance and wish him ongoing success in his cricketing career,” he added.

Bihar batted first, amassing an impressive 467 runs, with centuries from Dipesh Gupta (183 not out) and Prithvi Raj (128). In response, Rajasthan was bowled out for 182 as Suman single-handedly dismantled their batting order.

During Day 2, Rajasthan concluded their session at 70/1. When play resumed on Day 3, Suman struck early, dismissing a key batter after just 12 runs had been added to the overnight score. He then delivered a spectacular hat-trick in the 36th over, leaving Rajasthan struggling at 82/5.

The next five wickets also fell victim to Suman’s brilliance, with his final wicket being Gulab Singh, which ended Rajasthan's innings at 182 all out. At stumps on Day 3, Rajasthan was at 173/2 in their second innings, trailing by 112 runs.
