Panchkula, March 6 (NationPress) Teams from Telangana, Bengal, and Jharkhand achieved significant victories in their matches on Day 6 of the 15th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship 2025, showcasing thrilling contests here on Thursday.
In the opening match, Telangana Hockey triumphed over the Hockey Association of Bihar with a score of 5-2. Komal Gurjar netted a hat-trick (12’, 50’, 55’), while Pooja Rathod (13’) and Mundari Sumi (43’) contributed a goal each. For the Hockey Association of Bihar, Ebha Kerketta (21’) and Nutan Topno (36’) managed to score once.
Next, Hockey Bengal faced off against Hockey Madhya Pradesh, winning 2-1. Neelu Dadiya (11’) started the scoring, and Anjna Dungdung (58’) equalized late in the match. Selestina Horo (59’) sealed the win with a last-minute goal in this tightly contested game.
In another Division ‘A’ match, Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Mizoram with a score of 3-1. Goals came from Sanjna Horo (21’), captain Albera Rani Toppo (36’), and Nirali Kujur (48’), while Antim (47’) scored a consolation goal for Mizoram.
