In the opening match, Telangana Hockey triumphed over the Hockey Association of Bihar with a score of 5-2. Komal Gurjar netted a hat-trick (12’, 50’, 55’), while Pooja Rathod (13’) and Mundari Sumi (43’) contributed a goal each. For the Hockey Association of Bihar, Ebha Kerketta (21’) and Nutan Topno (36’) managed to score once.
