New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) Tickets for the 2026 Women's Premier League (WPL) games in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara are set to go on sale starting December 26 at 6 pm IST, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in their announcement on Thursday.

The WPL 2026 will be hosted at two prominent venues - the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai and the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.

According to the BCCI, District has been selected as the official ticketing partner for this thrilling fourth edition of the TATA WPL. Tickets can be conveniently purchased via the official WPL website, the WPL app available on both Android and iOS, and the District website.

The tournament kicks off on January 9, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, facing off against the 2024 champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, led by Smriti Mandhana. Navi Mumbai will host 11 matches until January 17, after which the action will move to Vadodara for the next 11 fixtures, including the playoffs.

The Vadodara segment will commence with a match between Gujarat Giants and RCB, followed by a rematch of the 2025 final featuring Delhi Capitals, led by Jemimah Rodrigues, against the Mumbai Indians. After the league phase concludes on February 1, the Eliminator will take place on February 3, with the top team moving directly to the final scheduled for February 5.

This season of the WPL is unique as it is the first to be held in the January-February timeframe, avoiding any overlaps with major international women’s cricket events, following three seasons that occurred in February-March.

The Mumbai Indians, who have clinched the title twice, enter the season as defending champions, while the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the other team to have won the WPL trophy. The Delhi Capitals have been runners-up three times, while Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz are yet to make it to the finals.

The upcoming 2026 season marks the fourth installment of the Women's Premier League, which was inaugurated in 2023. The Mumbai Indians Women stand out as the most successful franchise, having secured two titles in three years, alongside the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who also hold a championship title.
