Yuva Kabaddi Series: Himalayan Tahrs and Vasco Vipers Secure Division 3 Final Berths

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Dec 20 (NationPress) The Himalayan Tahrs and Vasco Vipers have solidified their positions in the Division 3 final following an exciting day of matches during the 11th edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series held at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education on Friday.

The day commenced with a commanding 59-37 win for the Indore Invincibles against the Ladakh Wolves. Sachin, who came off the bench, delivered an outstanding performance with a Super 10, while Aakash led the defense with a remarkable nine tackle points. Despite Amrit Singh's allround efforts for the Wolves, it wasn't enough to avert a significant defeat.

The Vasco Vipers clinched their final spot with a dominant 42-21 victory over the Konark Kings, securing second place in the standings. Prince and Bhargav led the raids, each scoring eight points, while Prianshu and Jai Hind excelled defensively with High 5s. Although Rajesh Dehury of the Kings managed eight raid points, his individual efforts fell short.

In the third match, the Himalayan Tahrs demonstrated their strength with a decisive 44-30 win over the Tadoba Tigers. Palvinder Singh shone with 12 raid points, and Shivansh Thakur added five tackle points. For the Tigers, Shrikant Raut achieved a Super 10, but a lack of team synergy led to their defeat.

The fourth contest saw the Dehradun Dynamos narrowly defeat the Ranchi Rangers in a thrilling 45-41 match, relegating the Rangers to the bottom of the table. Ajay Kumar and Deepak Lohan excelled for the Dynamos with their Super 10 performances, while Akash Malik contributed with a High 5. For the Rangers, Rahul Gope came off the bench to score a Super 10, and Subham Kumar earned a High 5, but their combined efforts fell just short.

In the final match of the day, the Konark Kings bounced back from their earlier loss to triumph over the Ladakh Wolves. Niroj Kumar Sethi and Rajesh Dehury both achieved Super 10s, while Biswajit Jena impressed defensively with a High 5. Despite their spirited efforts, it was another difficult defeat for the Wolves.

The stage is set for the Division 3 Final on Saturday, with one last league game left before the highly anticipated showdown.
