Yuva Kabaddi Series: Division 2 Matches Kick Off in Coimbatore with Intense Action

Coimbatore, Dec 23 (NationPress) UP Falcons, Hampi Heroes, Chola Veerans, and Hyderabad Hurricanes triumphed in their respective games as the 11th edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series launched its much-awaited Division 2 matches at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education here on Monday. Following a triumphant Division 3 campaign, the day's action was filled with excitement, featuring four exhilarating matches characterized by high-energy performances.
The opening match of the day saw UP Falcons showcase their strength, defeating Sindh Sonics with a score of 53-30. The Falcons maintained control throughout, with Rachit Yadav and Ashish Bhati both achieving Super 10s, while Ayush Kumar notched a High 5. In contrast, the Sindh Sonics struggled defensively, despite Balraj Singh's commendable eight raid points.
In a nail-biting match, the Hampi Heroes narrowly defeated Delhi Dhurandhars with a score of 32-29. Originally scheduled for an earlier time, the match commenced at 2:15 PM. The Heroes' win was a collective effort, with Someshwara Darshan shining in the raiding department, contributing eight raid points, while Darshan R made a vital defensive contribution with a High 5. For Delhi, Anuj Negi's Super 10 and Nishant Bhati's High 5 were not enough to secure a win as they couldn’t maintain their lead from the first half.
The third contest of the day saw Chola Veerans defeat Chandigarh Chargers with a score of 34-27. The match remained competitive until the last 12 minutes, when a late surge from the Veerans allowed them to take charge. Balabharathi led the team with seven tackle points, supported by various raiders to finish strong. Despite Nikesh's commendable performance, scoring eight raid points and two tackle points, the Chargers fell short, lacking adequate support in critical moments.
In the final match, the Hyderabad Hurricanes decisively defeated Panchala Pride with a score of 48-29. Suresh Oruganti was the standout performer, racking up an impressive 17 raid points, while Tejavath Srinath added a crucial High 5. For the Pride, Aditya Kumar and Karan Singh made solid all-around contributions, but the Hurricanes' raid strength was overwhelming. The Pride struggled defensively and offensively, leading to a comfortable victory for Hyderabad.
