Yuva Kabaddi Series: UP Falcons Dominate Division 2, Set to Face Chandigarh Chargers in Final

Coimbatore, Jan 1 (NationPress) The Division 2 of the Yuva Kabaddi Series is nearing its climax as the UP Falcons have firmly established their dominance at the top and clinched a spot in the final against the Chandigarh Chargers.

On Day 9 of Division 2, taking place at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education in Coimbatore, intense matchups unfolded as teams vied to conclude their campaigns on a high note.

The opening match featured the UP Falcons overcoming the Delhi Dhurandhars with a score of 48-38 in a thrilling high-scoring battle. This success not only elevated the Falcons to the summit of the standings but also guaranteed their place in the final. Substitute Rachit Yadav was pivotal with a spectacular Super 10, while Navneet Nagar and Ayush Kumar achieved High 5s.

Delhi’s Shubham Bhiduri showcased his talent with 11 points, and Vinod Pal added a high-5 from the bench, but the collective effort fell short against the formidable Falcons.

In the subsequent game, the Hampi Heroes triumphed over Panchala Pride with a score of 46-21, leaving the Pride without a win in Division 2. Raiders Chetan Jangama and Krupasagar D were unstoppable, each notching 11 raid points, while Darshan R contributed to Hampi’s success with a high-5.

For Panchala, Aditya Kumar fought hard, contributing four points in both raiding and defense, but the lack of support from teammates resulted in another disheartening defeat.

The third match highlighted the Chola Veerans, who decisively defeated the Sindh Sonics 57-16. Iyyappan Veerapandian led the charge with 14 raid points, while A Balabharathi excelled defensively, recording six tackle points.

Sindh’s Balraj Singh performed admirably with nine raid points, but the absence of support from the rest of the squad made the contest heavily skewed.

In the final matchup of the day, the Vizag Victors achieved a convincing 48-34 victory over the Hyderabad Hurricanes. Pirati Srisivatejesh and Gali Lakshma Reddy shone for Vizag, each scoring 11 raid points, while Pavan Gopineedi stood out defensively with a high-5.

For Hyderabad, Suresh Oruganti valiantly fought back with an impressive 18 raid points, but his efforts were in vain as the rest of the team failed to rise to the occasion.
